Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Heavyside Sales and Products Leader to drive the sales and growth of our heavyside product range. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key accounts, overseeing product portfolios, and building strong relationships with suppliers, This is a leadership role requiring in-depth industry knowledge and a proven track record in sales, customer relations, and team management within the builders’ merchant sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the sales strategy for heavyside products (e.g., bricks, blocks, aggregates, timber, drainage, roofing).
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the construction and building sector.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, contractors, and suppliers.
Oversee product pricing, inventory, and supply chain logistics in collaboration with procurement teams.
Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to adjust sales strategies.
Ensure exceptional customer service and prompt resolution of any customer issues.
Collaborate with internal departments, including marketing and operations, to ensure smooth product delivery and customer satisfaction.
Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall profitability of the business.
Promote sustainable practices within the product range, supporting the company’s environmental initiatives.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales leadership role within a builders’ merchant, focusing on heavyside products.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, particularly heavyside products such as aggregates, timber, and roofing.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to analyse market data and develop strategic sales plans.
Strong problem-solving skills and customer service orientation.
Familiarity with sustainability practices in the construction industry is a plus.
