Testimonials

"I cannot thank you enough for the trip to Billingsgate training school…I seriously mean it when I say it is the best school trip I have ever been on and I lost count of the number of children that said the exact same thing. For our children, it was such an incredible experience for them and one that they will truly treasure!"

"This experience has changed my thoughts about a career in the TV and film industries in a very positive way because it seems so fun, exciting and i feel like i would fit right in as it engages in everything that i love. The job role i would now consider is any role that would be in the broadcasting truck as it seemed so surreal and something that i would really enjoy."

"They got training and experience that would never have been available to them previously, with top class industry professionals. The crew treated them with respect and spoke to them on a professional level - they came away in awe at the scale of the workshop, and the opportunities that were provided to them. They also came away wanting to know more about the types of roles available."

“Learners are enthusiastic about their experience at the Adult College. They trust their tutors, who are very supportive of them. Learners enjoy working with tutors who are experts in their subject. [Tutors] provide highly effective one-to-one support to learners who need it.  They create an environment that is both supportive and inclusive.”

“I enjoy everything. I am enjoying interacting with my colleagues and my teacher. They are friendly and have good communication skills. I love to communicate and talk with people. I think all courses should be like this."

Adult College Learner 2023-24

“When I applied it was a long time since I had been in education, about 14 years. You feel supported by staff and you realise that everyone is new and just starting out; they are going through the same thing. I enjoyed both my courses and volunteering. When I applied for a Learning Support Assistant job at the college, I could talk about the experience I gained from volunteering. I learnt so much from other teachers and teaching assistants. I didn’t think I would get the job but I did!”
